'Fashion Beyond the Frontier' is a thought-provoking surrealist video artwork that delves into uncharted territories of space exploration. Made through a collaboration between artificial intelligence and human creativity, the site-specific piece was created for Melbourne's iconic Federation Square and weaves together a futuristic runway with extraterrestrial mining scenes. The work invites the viewer to reflect on the intersection of consumerism and colonisation and its impact on our planet.

Drawing on the motif of the "frontier" as a symbol of colonial expansion, the piece critically explores the idea of outdated ideals driving the push for progress. Using a retro-futuristic visual language inspired by 1960s space-age fashion, 'Fashion Beyond the Frontier' questions our societal values and the implications of extending our exploitative tendencies to off-planet resources as we look towards a future of profit-driven space exploration.
