Jess Coldrey is a Melbourne-based artist fascinated by the intersection of art with science, technology and engineering. Applying her training as a social scientist, she creates sculptural and electronic artworks about issues in the world around her. Her recent endometriosis diagnosis inspired her to lead the Australia-France Endometriosis Pain Visualisation Project. This will involve Melbourne and Paris art workshops, an exhibition in Marnay-sur-Seine, and an international pain communication forum funded by the Australian-French Association for Research and Innovation.
With the logistical support of Australia’s peak Endo education body, QENDO, Coldrey will run an online art workshop on September 13th from 6.30-8pm AEST. If you’re 18+ years old, live in Australia and have an endometriosis diagnosis, we’d love you to sign up below! You’ll be provided with art materials for painting and collaging to express your Endo experiences. You’ll also have the option to include in the Australia-France Endometriosis Communication Forum to help medical professionals and interested community members learn more about Endo symptoms.
